Detailed Itinerary

Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative from Druk Peaceful Travels.
After completing immigration formalities, enjoy a scenic drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital city.

Sightseeing in Thimphu:

  • Buddha Dordenma (Giant Buddha Statue)

  • Memorial Chorten

  • Tashichho Dzong (view from outside in the evening)

  • Local craft bazaar (if time permits)

Overnight: Thimphu

After breakfast, explore more of Thimphu before heading to Punakha.

Thimphu Sightseeing:

  • Motithang Takin Preserve (National Animal of Bhutan)

  • Folk Heritage Museum or Simply Bhutan

  • Changangkha Lhakhang

Drive to Punakha via Dochula Pass (3,100m), offering panoramic Himalayan views on clear days.

In Punakha:

  • Visit Punakha Dzong, the most beautiful fortress in Bhutan

  • Walk across the Punakha Suspension Bridge

Overnight: Punakha

After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning in Punakha.

Optional Activities:

  • Short hike to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten

  • Visit local villages and rice fields

Drive back to Paro in the afternoon.

Evening in Paro:

  • Explore Paro town

  • Visit local handicraft shops

Overnight: Paro

Today is the highlight of your Bhutan journey.

Hike to the legendary Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), perched dramatically on a cliff at 3,120m.
The hike takes approximately 4–5 hours round trip.

After the hike:

  • Visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in Bhutan

  • Relax at a traditional hot stone bath (optional)

Overnight: Paro

After breakfast, transfer to Paro International Airport for your onward journey, carrying unforgettable memories of Bhutan.
